The Alpha Phi Alpha George E. Hailey Scholarship Endowment develops quality fund raising approaches generating maximum revenue to assure financial stability, maintaining and expanding scholarship dedicated principal, while advocating and assisting students to achieve opportunities in postsecondary education.

GEORGE E. HAILEY

George E. Hailey is an independent entrepreneur. George currently owns and operates two companies; Discount Realty where he is a licensed real estate agent providing property sales, management and maintenance to a broad base of clients and Discount Tax Service, providing federal and state income tax preparation for individual, estate, trust, corporation, partnership and non-profit organization. George is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), providing financial plans and strategies, primarily for tax clients.

DR. JERIOD D. PATTERSON

Dr. Jeriod D. Patterson is an entrepreneur and a small business owner in Aurora, Colorado. He also serves as the Treasure on the Board of directors at the Global Village Academy: East Campus. Dr. Patterson is a steward at Shorter Community AME Church, and he believes that every student should receive an excellent education, and his vision is to advance educational resources, policies, and practices to improve the quality of life in our communities.

VICE CHAIRMAN

VINCENT L. ELLERBY

Vincent Ellerby is a Program Chief Engineer and Senior Manager with Raytheon Intelligence and Space division of Raytheon Technologies.  Raytheon Technologies is a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, homeland security and other government markets throughout the world.  His responsibilities include leading the engineering development, hardware procurement, subcontracts management, deployment and maintenance for a spacecraft ground system that performs the health, safety and mission management of a constellation of classified space assets.

TREASURER

ANDRÉ WILSON

André Wilson is a Senior Epic Clinical Application Analyst at Children's Hospital Colorado. Children's Hospital Colorado is consistently ranked as the #1 children's hospital in Colorado, the Rocky Mountain region, and top 10 in the nation by US News and World Report. He supports the EHR build that supports research conducted at Children's. In his role he leads EHR optimization, complex projects, process improvement, solves system problems, and serves as a subject matter expert (SME).

FINANCIAL SECRETARY

STEPHEN SHEPARD

Steve Shepard is a retired entrepreneur in the construction industry.  Prior to his retirement, he was co-owner and CFO of BDI Construction, Inc.  Four of the company’s major projects were the United Airlines Air Cargo Facility at DIA, the Federal Water Quality Lab in Lakewood,  Jesse Whaley Maxwell Elementary School, and Lowry Elementary School.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

YEMANE GEBRE-MICHAEL

With over 23 years of sales and leadership experience Yemane joined the ACE leadership team in 2015. He has held key leadership roles in a variety of leading companies ranging from telecom, transportation, finance and government. Yemane leads the ACE sales teams in all markets through strategic plans, creating a culture of success, goal achievement and strong customer relationships.

Ronald J. Celestine is a Customer Manager at General Mills, Inc. General Mills is an American multinational manufacturer and marketer of branded consumer foods sold through retail stores. His responsibilities include management, sales functions, including sales promotions, new products, merchandising, managing trade funding budget and retail execution.

Charles Griffie

Charles Griffie has served as Senior Vice President, Operations and Engineering of the general partner of Western Midstream Partners, LP since October 2019. Previously, Mr. Griffie served as Senior Vice President, U.S. Onshore Field Operations for Anadarko.
